Maliki hosts humanitarian organizations to discuss situation of Syrian refuges in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, hosted the Head of the Red Cross International Committee, Peter Marius, and director of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, Yasin al-Mamouri, at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday.Maliki’s media office reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”During the meeting, Maliki assured the stance of Iraq in supporting all the humanitarian efforts exerted by the international organizations and called to promote the cooperation and coordination among them.””The meeting tackled the situation of the Syrian refugees in Iraq where Marius expressed his appreciation for Iraq due to its efforts in helping Syrian refugees,” the statement concluded. \END\
