Religious Authority Hakim holds government, security forces responsibility of protecting citizens

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Religious Authority, Mohammed Saied, al-Hakim, held the government and the security forces the responsibility of protecting the citizens.

In a press statement by Hakim’s office received by, he said “The Shiite are being killed in genocide by the criminal groups where we witness daily crimes against them by the car bombs and the Improvised Explosive Devices as what happened in Babel which is considered one of the biggest crimes in the world.”

“While condemning the crimes, we hold the government and the security forces the responsibility over protecting the citizens and not to involve them in the political conflict,” he concluded.
