Shawees, Mladenov discuss political situation in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Premier, Ruz Nouri Shawees, discussed the political situation in Iraq with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq (SRSG) Mr. Nickolay Mladenov.

A statement by Shawees’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Both sides discussed the political conditions in the Iraqi scene and the ongoing preparations for the parliamentary elections.”

“They also discussed the efforts to reach a solution for the crisis of the Financial Budget Law of 2014,” the statement added.

“Mladenov indicated that the UN is keeping on its efforts to aid the Syrian refugees in Iraq in addition to the displaced families from Anbar,” the statement concluded.
