Zibari, King Abdullah II discuss bilateral relations

Follow-Up (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Hoshyar Zibari, who visits Jordan currently, discussed with the Jordanian King Abdullah II the bilateral relations and the situation in the region.

A statement issued by the Royal Laureate Thursday cited “King Abdullah II confirmed during the meeting with the Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister the Jordanian support for the efforts of sustaining security and stability in Iraq through national accord among all components of the Iraqi spectrum.”

According to the statement, “Both sides discussed the latest developments in the region and the situation in the Syrian arena.”

For his part, Minister Zibari assured Iraq’s adherence to develop fraternal and cooperation relations with Jordan, stressing the interest of the Iraqi Government in establishing the oil pipeline project for transporting Iraqi oil through the Jordanian territories and commitment of the Iraqi side to complete this project, the statement concluded.
