Zebari receives credentials of five new ambassadors to Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received the credentials of five new ambassadors to Iraq.

A statement by the Foreign Minister received by IraqiNews.com cited “Zebari received the credentials of the new Libyan Ambassador to Iraq today April 14, 2014 in a ceremony that took place at the ministry a copy of the credentials of Mr. Naji Ahmed Shalgham, Ambassador of Libya accredited to Iraq and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two countries .”

“Minister Zebari also received a copy of the credentials of Mr. Muhammad Iftikhar Anjum Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan accredited to Iraq. Minister Zebari welcomed the guest and discussed with him strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries and the prospects for its development and activating the work of the Joint Ministerial Committee. In the same context Foreign Minister Zebari received a copy of the credentials of Haj Tawfiq Olaiju Arabaga, non-resident Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Iraq and discussed during the meeting promoting bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing the historical relations between Iraq and of Africa,” the statement added.

“Minister Zebari received a copy of the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Andre Savanej as non-resident Ambassador in Iraq, and during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields. Minister Zebari also received a copy of credentials Ambassador Joe Jung won, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Iraq, and discussed the evolving relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of trade and investment and strengthening the presence of Korean companies in Iraq,” the statement pointed out.

“Foreign Minister Zebari stated that the ministry is ready to provide support and assistance for the new ambassadors for the success of their work,” the statement concluded.
