IHEC in Basra announces readiness for general polling day

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Independent High Electoral Commission announced readiness for the general polling day of next Wednesday.

The head of IHEC in Basra, Hazim al-Rubayi, stated to IraqiNews.com “A million and 611.000 voters are registered by the IHEC all over the province while the received voting E-Cards are a million and 298.000.”

“1400 international observers in addition to 65.000 observers of various political entities are adopted to monitor the elections,” he concluded.
