Iran congratulates Iraqis on announcing parliamentary elections results

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham congratulated Iraqis on the annoucement of the elections results.

In a press conference held in Tehran on Tuesday, She also congratulated the Iraqi nation and government on the successful holding of parliamentary elections.

She hailed the active presence of people from various walks of life, the government ranks, religious scholars, parties and political groups in the elections.

The elections proved Iraqs firm determination to overcome problems, she added, hoping the Iraqi political sides to work on sustaining prosperity and development in the country.
