INC urges IHEC to deal seriously with complaints against elections results

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Political Committee of the Iraqi National Coalition held its first meeting after the announcement of 2014 elections results.

A statement by the INC received by Iraqi News “INC reviewed the political scene in the country and thanked the Iraqis and the Religious Authority in Najaf for urging citizens to take part in the elections.”

“The attendants of the meeting, appreciated the role of the security forces in securing elections,” the statement added,” noting that “The INC sides agreed that they got more seats in the current parliament which means that citizens trust them and their political program.”

“The INC sides called the Independent High Electoral Commission to deal seriously with the with complaints against elections results,” the statement mentioned.

“They all stressed the necessity of enhancing the role of the Iraqi National Alliance by adopting openness towards all national sides and to intensify its meetings to preserve its constitutional rights,” the statement concluded.
