Nijaifi, Turkish Ambassador discuss developments in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, received Farouk Qaemakji, Turkish ambassador to Iraq, and discussed with him during a meeting that held in Nijaifi’s office the latest developments in Iraq. A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Nijaifi stressed during the meeting that the elections were conducted in abnormal circumstances punctuated by numerous violations,” noting that “Many of appeals and complains are made during and after the elections but in vain.”

“For his part, Qaemakji expressed his congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the holding of parliamentary elections, as an essential foundation of the pillars of democracy and political process in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
