Kurdistan Region starts exporting oil via Ceyhan port [09/04/2014]

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan Region started exporting crude oil via the Turkish port of Ceyhan, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said in a press statement received by Alforat News Agency.

The first 1 million barrel cargo of piped oil was loading in Ceyhan, where around 2.5 million barrels of Iraqi Kurdish crude has been stored, Yildiz added.

An industry source said the tanker was expected to depart late on Thursday.

Kurdistan Regional Government sent 2.5 million barrels of oil into storage tanks at Ceyhan through a new Kurdistan RegionG-built pipeline in which crude flow started last December. /End/
