Maliki: Next government to be strong with existence of opposition

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, stated that the next government will be strong because of the existence of the opposition in the parliament.

A statement by Maliki’s office issued a statement to quote Maliki while meeting a delegation of the Arab missions in Iraq, as saying “We call for the political majority government and not for a sectarian one because the majority government is a political principle.”

“”In each electoral occasion, Iraq achieves a political victory in spite of the attempts to foil the electoral process,” he added, noting that “The political majority government will be strong due to the existence of the parliamentary opposition.”
