Operating in Malta and Libya, The International Safety Training College (ISTC) runs two leading international training centres providing professional consultancy and training standards in emergency response, disaster management, fire safety, health and safety, first aid and survival primarily to the oil and gas industries in the MENA region.

Recently, ISTC passed a JOIFF audit and is now a fully approved JOIFF Fire Hazard Management training center. This accreditation is awarded only to organizations that adhere to the highest levels of safety and professionalism in all aspects of current fire, security, hazardous material and medical emergency response, and in commanding operations for emergency scenarios of all types varying from very minor incidents through to major catastrophic events. ISTC is the first training centre in the Mediterranean to have achieved this honour. With the JOIFF approval, ISTC now places amongst the top safety training centres in Europe.

Andrew Gilravey, Head of Operations at ISTC said, “This audit is a real coup for ISTC and it can only lead to better things ahead.” He also attributed the success of the audit to the ISTC team.

The ISTC has pre-agreed to submit all of its major training courses to JOIFF. Their goal is to have the majority of their courses JOIFF approved by the end of May 2014.
