Hakim calls political leaders over security situation in Nineveh
Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, phoned several Iraqi political leaders over the security situation in Nineveh province on Wednesday.A statement by the SIIC received by Iraqi News cited “Hakim phoned the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, the Vice-President, Khudair al-Khuzayi, the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, and the head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr over the consequences of the situation in Nineveh province.””He also phoned the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, Barham Salih, Kosrat Rasoul, Neshirwan Mustafa and The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, as well as the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, in addition to the head of al-Hal bloc, Jamal al-Karbouli,” the statement added”He called all sides to cooperate to relieve Iraq from the current crisis and to hold their responsibilities in saving Iraq and Iraqis,” the statement concluded.
