Hakim to Jaafary: Strategic security plans must be reconsidered

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim recalled to reconsider the strategic security plans in Iraq.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received the head of the Iraqi National Alliance at his office on Tuesday where they discussed the latest political and security updates in Iraq.”

“Hakim assured that the strategic security plans must be reconsidered, calling to make the INA as a foundation able to hold the responsibility,” the statement added.

“For his part, Jaafary stated that the events in Mosul threaten the sovereignty of Iraq, calling the neighboring countries to secure their borders and prevent the penetration of the terrorists to Iraq,” the statement concluded.
