60 ISIL vehicles and dozens of their fighters killed north of Baqubah

Baqubah (IraqiNews.com) A security source in Diyala declared that  60 vehicles belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) were destroyed in a fierce battle near the Edhaym district, north of Baqubah .

He told the reporter of the IraqiNews.com today that military forces belonging to the Tigris operations backed by air support carried out a military operation in the Anjana area near the border between the provinces of Diyala and Kirkuk, north of Baqubah, which resulted in the destruction of  60  vehicles belonging to the ISIL and killed dozens of them.

He noted that the warplanes had an active role in strikes to sites of the ISIL, stressing that the security forces have high readiness of combat capability in the face of armed organizations.

He explained that the military forces are moving towards Sulaiman Bek district in the province of Salahuddin to clear it from the control of armed groups.
