Zebari, Mladenov discuss security situation in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, received Mr. Nikolai Mladenov Special Representative of the Secretary-General and head of UNAMI in Iraq internationalism.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News cited “The two sides discussed developments in political and security situation in the country and the role and functions of the international organization. They also reviewed the situation of the displaced persons from the province of Nineveh and other provinces and the possibility of increasing their numbers because of the arbitrary and oppressive acts carried out by terrorist organizations.”

“During the meeting the two sides talked about the importance of the cooperation with the central government, provincial government, the international organization and the specialized agencies to provide support and assistance required,” the statement concluded.
