Kurdish surprise: Nisherwan Mustafa nominated as President

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former MP Mahdi Haji of the Kurdistani Democratic Party headed by the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani assured that “The head of the Ghoran (Taghyeer) movement Nisherwan Mustafa is the best candidate for to assume the Post of the President of Iraq within the Kurdish merit for the three presidencies.

Haji told IraqiNews.com Thursday “I think the candidate for the President Post is the leader of Ghoran (Taghyeer) movement Nisherwan Mustafa rather than Barham Salih or Fuad Masoum.”

Haji justified this expectation by granting the second position in the elections of Kurdistan Region for Ghoran Movement.

He added “The Kurdistani Democratic Party supports nominating Mustafa for this post but till now no negotiations have started over this issue.”
