US, Iraqi military teams agree to joint operations command

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday Baghdad Operations Command held a meeting with a group of experts to discuss joint security cooperation in the coming days, as it was agreed to set up a joint operations command.

The official chennel Al Irarakiya said, in Newsflash aired today, that “the commander of the Baghdad Operations held a joint meeting with the Pentagon team of experts, to discuss cooperation and coordination of joint security work in the coming days.”

Channel added that “It was agreed during the meeting to set up a joint operations command between the two sides.”

U.S. Department of Defense announced earlier, the arrival of 90 military advisers to Baghdad to help the Iraqi army in confrontations with elements of “ISIL.”

On June 21, 2014 the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) revealed the arrival of the first group of American military advisers to Iraq.
