Hakim urges blocs to speed up their nominations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar Al-Hakim, discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister, Ruz Nouri Shawis the political and security situation in Iraq.

A statement by the SIIC received by Iraqi News cited “Hakim welcomed today the DPM Shawis where they conferred about the political and security updates as well as the holding of the parliament first session scheduled on next Tuesday and the agreements made to compose the coming government.”

“Hakim called all the political blocs to speed up nominating their candidates for the governmental posts,” the statement added.

“For his part, Shawees confirmed the Kurds’ desire to form a government that reassures all sides,” the statement concluded.
