8 terrorists killed, IED defused in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Security Forces managed to kill 8 terrorists and to defuse an Improvised Explosive Device in addition to seizing mortar shells in Baghdad on Tuesday.

Baghdad Operations Command declared in a statement received by Iraqi News ”The Iraqi army 25th Brigade conducted a raid-search operation in Abu Aowsaj area that resulted in killing eight terrorists while the security elements of the 23rd Brigade succeeded in dismantling an Improvised Explosive Device was emplaced on a roadside in Baghdad.”

”The Federal Police 1st Regiment conducted an inspection operation in Mussayab area that resulted in confiscating eight mortar shells,” the statement added.

”The Iraqi security forces arrested several wanted persons according to the article (4) of Anti- Terrorism law and seized weapons and ammunition in Baghdad during the past (24) hours in Baghdad,” the statement concluded. \End\
