Maliki attends funeral of 6th Army Division Commander killed today
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, the Ministry of Defense buried the body of the 6th Division commander, Maj. Gen. Najim Abdullah Ali Sudan, who was killed by hostile shelling in Ibrahim bin Ali. The funeral was attented by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and the Defense Minister, Saadoun al-Dulaimi.
The ministry said in a statement received by Iraqinews.com, that “in the presence of the Commander in Chief of the armed forces, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, the Defense Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi and a large number of leaders, commanders and the families of the martyrs of the righteous, the Department of Defense has set up a big funeral for Maj. Gen. Najim Abdullah Ali Sudan, the 6th Division Commander, who was martyred during his response to the terrorist attacks in Al Karma in Anbar”.
