Iranian Islamic Shura Council head congratulates new Iraqi Speaker of Parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, Ali Larijani, sent a congratulatory letter to the parliament Speaker, Saleem al-Jobouri.

In the congratulatory letter, Larijani said “Due to the critical situation in Iraq, setting the legal basis such as electing the parliament Speakership is an important step to sustain security and facing the terrorist groups.”

“Iran supports the unity and independent of Iraq” he added, expressing his confidence in the Iraqi people to “Overcome the current crisis and sustain stability, wishing all the best to the new parliament Speakership.”
