Hakim, Iranian official discuss security updates in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Advisor of the Iranian National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, discussed the security updates in Iraq.

A statement by Hakim’s office received by Iraqi News cited “Hakim received Shamkhani at his office in Baghdad.”

“Both sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries,” the statement added.

“Hakim stressed the importance of coordinating the efforts of the Iraqi political sides to reach a solution for the current crisis through a harmonious team,” the statement concluded. /End/
