URGENT: ISIL steals salaries of Ministry of Labor employees in Nineveh

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A local source in Nineveh province revealed on Saturday that the organization of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant seized on the salaries of employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security Department of Nineveh, indicating that these salaries were paid by the federal government earlier.

The source said, “the terrorist militants of ISIL took over the salaries of employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security Department of Nineveh, which were disbursed by the federal government earlier.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added “employees of Christians and minorities demanded the federal government to pay their salaries in areas where they have been displaced instead of their circle, the fact that ISIL will take over their salaries if they come back to Mosul.”

The cabinet decided, earlier, paying salaries to employees in hot areas controlled by the government, as well as the collection of employees’ salaries in areas which are not under the control of the government to pay them later after the end of military operations. Also the cabinet decided to pay the salaries of Chairman and members of the Council of Nineveh and Salahuddin who are engaged in their work in alternative locations with the support of the competent authorities.
