America donates over $138 million USD of aid to displaced Iraqis
(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, The American State Department announced that it had sent 138 million dollars of humanitarian aid to displaced people in Iraq.
The State Department said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com that “there are 1.7 million displaced people in Iraq because of the violence since January 2014.”
The statement noted that the total humanitarian aid of the United States government to Iraq had reached more than 138 million dollars.
The International Organization for Migrations announced earlier that more than 1.6 million people have been displaced in Iraq because of the violence in the country this year, including 850 thousand during this month alone.
