PM confirms to Hakim his commitment to governmental program

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, received the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and his accompanied delegation.

A statement by the Abadi’s office received by Iraqi News cited “Hakim and the accompanied delegation congratulated Abadi, on the occasion of the formation of the government, expressing support of the SIIC for the new government, wishing success for Abadi in his new mission.”

“During the meeting, they discussed political and security situation in the country in addition to the political movements witnessed in the region in order to eliminate the Islamic State,” the statement added.

“Abadi pointed out to his commitment to the government program that he presented, stressing the need for everyone’s cooperation and concerted efforts in order to meet the security challenges, political and economic developments,” the statement concluded. /End/
