Severe decline in security in al-Anbar says Salahuddin Council
Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, The Aberon bloc in the Council of Salahuddin province stated that al-Anbar witnessed a severe decline in security levels in some areas after Iraqi PM Haidar al-Abadi’s decision to pause airstrikes in the province.
Member of the block Azal Abid Dahi in a press conference attended by IraqiNews criticized Abadi’s decision to pause airstrikes and hold fire in al-Anbar as an irrational decision, noting that the ISIS group already included most of the province’s territories.
It is noteworthy that on Aug 13 Prime Minister Abadi, issued an order to hold fire in al-Anbar and all Iraqi regions in which there are civilians, even if the areas were occupied by the ISIS group.
