3000 ISIS fighters arrive in Anbar from Syria says Anbar Council

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Monday the Provincial Council of al-Anbar confirmed that 3000 ISIS fighters have crossed the borders of Syria and entered Anbar province.

The head of the council Sabah Karhoot stated today, “We received intelligence information indicating that 3000 militants of the ISIS group had crossed the borders with Syria and arrived in Anbar through al-Mosul city.”

Karhoot added, “The elements of the group possess powerful and heavy weapons those it had previously seized  in the region.

Karhoot called the government to send reinforcements and military aid to help liberate the areas controlled by ISIS and free all cities of the province.
