Kidnapped Babel PC member released

Babel (IraqiNews.com) Security official within Babel Governorate assured on Monday “The armed group which kidnapped the member of Babel Provincial Council (Ekab al-Janabi) released him on Monday.”

The source confirmed to reporter of IraqiNews.com “Janabi’s health condition is perfect and he was not subject to any kind of torture.”

“The kidnappers were seeking a ransom but they released Janabi when they felt that police forces approached identifying them,” the source added.

“The security forces in Babel province continue investigations to arrest the armed group which kidnapped Janabi,” the source concluded. /End/
