ISIS prepares to take Al-Fallujah, says Head of Anbar Council

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) On Monday, Al-Fallujah Provincial Council confirmed that the ISIS group has begun to gather militants with reinforcements and blockade the city of Fallujah.

The head of the provincial council Shaker Mahmoud said: “ISIS militants are blockading Al-Yatama, Al-Hasa, Al-Fehiyelat, Al-Bouhoi and Zaba’ areas, 23 km southern Fallujah. They have planned an extensive operation from three areas to take the city of Fallujah.” He also called the central government and security officials in Baghdad to send army troops and military reinforcements in order to defend the city.
