Muslim Scholars Association accuses USA of ‘scheme’ to gradually re-occupy Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) The Muslim Scholars Association expressed concern about the United States continuing to send more troops to Iraq under the pretense of fighting terrorism, and accused it of “gradually seeking” acknowledgment of its occupation of the country.

The association added in a statement, “The Iraqi people will not hesitate to resort to resistance again and in a broader sense; they will take advantage of the weapons looted off the government forces and the experience gained while resisting the occupation before.”

Muslim Scholars Association affirmed that “the occupation and its political scheme was and still is the source of all problems for Iraqis, and a major factor in enabling Iran to dominate the country.”

The association also considered that the American troops in Iraq, the formation of an international coalition, the establishment of what looks like a military base in northern Iraq, launching airstrikes and the daily bombing of civilian areas under the pretense of “the war against terrorism” is nothing but “US forces being redeployed in the country.”
