Iraq will not allow deployment of foreign troops, says MoSR
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the member of the State of Law Coalition, Hussein al-Shahrestani said Sunday, that Iraq will not allow the deployment of foreign ground troops to its land.
In an interview with Iraqi TV channel ‘al-Sumaria’, al-Shahrestani expressed dissatisfaction with the aerial coverage that is offered by the international coalition. He also said, “Iraq needs serious support in its war against international terrorism.” but noting that, “the government will now allow any Arab or foreign ground troops to be deployed to Iraq.”
