Albonmr clan gives government 5 days to arm Anbar tribes

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Albonmr tribe in Anbar province said it would give the central government five days to arm and equip the tribal fighters with weapons and gear, and confirmed that the people of Anbar have other options in the absence of the government’s response to their demands.

Leader of Albonmr, Naim Gaood said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that yesterday evening, he met with Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq, Electricity Minister Qassim Fahdawi and a number of the House of Representatives members from the province and members of the Anbar provincial council in Baghdad. He asked them to deliver a message to the Prime Minister and the central government to speed up the process of arming tribal fighters with weapons and gear during a maximum of 5 days time.

Gaood added that  Albonmr and Anbar tribes have other options with the absence of the central government’s response to the demands of arming their members to be able to liberate their territories from the terrorist organization ISIS.
