US defense secretary arrives in Baghdad in an unannounced visit

(IraqiNews.com) US Secretary of Defense arrived to Baghdad on Tuesday morning in an unannounced visit to discuss military operations against ISIS.

An informed source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that, “US Defense Secretary, Chuck Hagel arrived this morning to the capital Baghdad on an unannounced visit.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added, “Hagel will meet a number of Iraqi officials to discuss military operations against the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).”

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey arrived to Baghdad in November 15, 2014 in the first visit since the beginning of the international campaign against the organization ISIS.
