Hakim visits Balad, Samarra

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim stressed during his visit to Samarra and Balad cities on Tuesday the importance of uniting efforts to face the terrorists of the ISIL.

Statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim visited the holy shrines in Samarra and Balad cities on Tuesday,” noting that “Hakim met the elements of the Iraqi security forces and volunteers on the front lines in both cities.”

“Hakim highly appreciated the great victories achieved in Jurf al-Sakher, Amerli and Beiji districts, describing ISIL as a cancer that should be terminated,” the statement mentioned. /End/
