Abadi arrives in Dhuluiya district, meets security forces and tribal leaders

(IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, general commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi arrived in Dhuluiya southern of Tikrit, after its liberation from the control of ISIS. He met with the tribal elders and members of the security forces.

An informed source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Commander of the Armed Forces, Haider al-Abadi arrived this evening in Dhuluiya district (80 km south of Tikrit).”

The source, who asked not to be named, added, “Abadi met with the tribal elders and the security forces stationed in the area to congratulate them for the victory.”

On December 30, 2014, Abadi said that the liberation of Dhuluiya is a quantum leap in the war against the Islamic State, and that it would be a platform to inflict further defeats upon this organization, calling everyone to support the security forces in their fight against terrorism until the ultimate victory is achieved.
