Jabouri urges Sunni, Shiite endowments to reopen closed mosques
(IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, the House Speaker Salim al-Jabouri urged the Sunni and Shiite endowments to cooperate in order to reopen closed mosques.
In his speech during the Iraqi Sunni Endowment Diwan’s celebration on the occasion of al-Mouled al-Nabawi, al-Jabouri said, “There is a number of mosques which have been shut down in some different areas in the country, and these places need to be reopened soon as a sign of moderation, awareness and forgiveness.”
He also urged the Sunni and Shiite endowments to accelerate cooperation in this matter.
