Muqtada al-Sadr orders to cancel constructing a cemetery for British soldiers

(IraqiNews.com) On Friday, the cleric Muqtada al-Sadr ordered to cancel the construction of a cemetery for British soldiers in Iraq, threatening to “take the necessary measures.”

The General Secretariat of the Liberal Bloc website said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, ” Moqtada al-Sadr ordered the British occupation forces to cancel the construction of the cemetery for soldiers in Iraq,” and threatened, “Otherwise we will do what should be done.”

The Secretariat of the Liberal Bloc website quoted Sadr as saying in an interview with Al-Huda weekly magazine, “I was informed that there is a cemetery for the British under construction to their bodies in the past era and the previous occupation,” noting that, “Through your magazine, I order them to cancel it and to remove the bodies and bury them in their land among their families; there is no place for them in our land.”
