Joint forces kill 16 ISIS elements southern Tikrit

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday, that 16 ISIS elements have been killed including suicide bombers in southern Tikrit.

The ministry said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews, “A joint force consisting of Samarra operations forces and elements of al-Hashed al-Sha’bi have managed to conduct a security operation in the areas of Sur-Nash, Sayed-Gharib and Albu-Niysan.”

“The operation resulted in killing 16 terrorists including a number of suicide bombers, and destroying a number of vehicles that belonged to the group,” the statement added.
