Iraqi forces repel ISIS attack on central Ramadi

Al-Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Third Golden Division of the Iraqi Army announced Saturday, that it repelled an offensive operation by ISIS on central Ramadi and caused casualties among elements of the group.

Abdul-Amir al-Khazraji, a key aide to the commander of the Golden Division, stated to IraqiNews, “A force from the Golden Division has managed today to repel an ISIS attack on al-Andalus neighborhood in cenetral Ramadi,” adding that, “The clashes between the two sides resulted in killing 9 elements of the ISIS group and wounding 2 others.”

“The force inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS ranks and caused them to retreat,” al-Khazraji added.
