Anbar Operations announces start of military operation to liberate the province

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Anbar Operations Command announced that a military operation to liberate areas of the province from ISIS control will begin soon, noting that all security sectors will participate in the operation.

The operations commander, Maj. Gen. Qassim Mohammadi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com that, “The security situation in the city of Ramadi is quite stable,” noting that, “Security forces and the tribesmen control all parts of the city.”

“Security forces are preparing to start a broad military operation to free Ramadi and Anbar areas from ISIS control soon,” he added, pointing out that, “All security sectors and tribes will participate in the operation.”
