Iraq buys $73 million-worth US vehicles to detect explosives

(IraqiNews.com) on Saturday, the American ‘CSI’ Company announced it had sold Husky 2G vehicles to detect improvised explosive devices and car bombs to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, pointing out that the value of the deal amounted to $73 million, adding that these vehicles will enhance the capacity of Iraq in face the ISIS organization.

The company said in a statement followed by IraqiNews, “The Iraqi Ministry of Defense bought Husky 2G vehicles to detect improvised explosive devices and car bombs,” pointing out that, “These purchases decisively contribute to strengthen the mission of purging Iraq’s roads and its ability to perpetuate the maneuver and confront the terrorist group.”

“These vehicles equipped with arm detection are used to detect improvised explosive devices and mines and have also been equipped with capabilities that can accept new updates in the future,” it added.
