(IraqiNews.com) Representative of the Iranian leader of the Revolutionary Guards, Ali Saeedi denied on Saturday the existence of any Iranian troops in Iraq, pointing out that the role of the commander of the Qods Force Gen. Qassem Soleimani is consultative, revealing the existence of evidence about the US providing assistance to the ISIS group.

Saeedi said in statements followed by IraqiNews.com, “The presence of Maj. Gen. Soleimani in Iraq is only to provide military consultations, but we do not have any ground troops there,” adding that Iran’s role is limited to providing consultations related to planning operations and methods to counter the enemy.

Saeedi also sated that Iraq did not request Iran to send any ground troops, pointing out that the Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq now understand that Iran seeks no expediency or expansion in Iraq; it is doing its best to help the Iraqi people.
