 150 Kurdish families flee from ISIS-held Mosul, says KDP

Kurdistan (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, a source within the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) announced, that 150 Kurdish families have fled from ISIS-seized areas in Mosul to areas under Peshmerga control in northwest of the city.

Saeed Mamouzini, an official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party stated for IraqiNews, “150 Kurdish families have managed to escape Mosul city and arrive in the areas that fall under control of the Peshmerga in the district of Wanki, located in northwest of Mosul,” pointing out that, “These families were from the al-Kikani and al-Karkari tribes.”

“There are many other families that are still living in the ISIS-held areas and cannot leave the city,” Mamouzini added.
