UN responsible calls on governments to negotiate with ISIS

(IraqiNews.com) On Friday, UNICEF representative in Syria Hana Singer asked the governments to negotiate with the ISIS organization to allow access to the controlled areas.

Singer said in a press conference in Geneva that negotiations must be conducted at least for the protection of children, and that it’s not the responsibility of humanitarian agencies only, but a political responsibility as well.

Singer added that UNICEF estimates that there are about 14 million children suffering due to the conflict in Syria and Iraq, and that aid cannot access about two million.
