Abdul-Mahdi, Volunteer Fighters leaders to discuss final plans for Tikrit battle
(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, Oil Minister and the leaders of the al-Hashd al-Sha’bi in Salahuddin operations room to discuss final plans for the battle of Tikrit.
IraqiNews.com reporter said, “Oil Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Deputy Chief of the Volunteer Fighters (al-Hashd al-Sha’bi) Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis and a leader in Badr Organisation Hadi al-Amiri held a meeting in Salahuddin operations room.”
He added that the meeting came to discuss final plans for the battle of Tikrit and al-Fatha, in addition to ending operations in Salahuddin.
It is noteworthy that the General Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced yesterday that the liberation Tikrit is at hand, pointing out that the security and military operations in Salahuddin province are going according to plan
