Baghdad(IraqiNews.com)- The parliamentary committee of tourism and antiquities officially addressed the international organizations to retake artifacts that were smuggled by the terrorists of the ISIL.

The head of the committee, Ali Al-Maliki, told IraqiNews.com that “There are correspondences between the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquates and the international organizations to do their duties after Al-Namroud district being smashed by the terrorists of the ISIL” adding that “the Ministry always sends correspondences to the organizations because there are treaties between them that obligate the countries to retake the artifacts to Iraq and prosecute the smugglers of the antiquities”.

Maliki referred that “We should not keep silent about the destruction of the antiquities in Mosul because they represent our history, civilization and culture” adding that ” 171 artifacts were destroyed by the terrorists only 4 faked and others real and burning dozens of books in Mosul library”. /End/
