Sweden to send 30 troops to train Peshmerga soldiers
(IraqiNews.com) The Swedish army announced Saturday, that it will contribute to the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS militants by sending 30 troops to train the Peshmerga forces in northern Iraq.
The Swedish army announced it began preparations for the deployment of 30 troops to train the Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers as part of the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS militants.
The army spokesman, Philip Simon, said, “The government has ordered us to plan and prepare for a potential Swedish military contribution to the coalition against ISIL (ISIS).”
