Abadi, Jobouri discuss political, security updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, received Speaker, Saleem al-Jobouri, on last Sunday.

A statement by Abadi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “They discussed the political and security updates as well as the battle against the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant terrorists in Salah-il-Din and Anbar provinces.”

“They also tackled the issue of recruiting the citizens of Nineveh province to liberate the province from the ISIL terrorists,” the statement added.

“Both sides reviewed the means to consolidate the supervisory and legislative roles of parliament and the relations between Parliament and Government,” the statement concluded. /End/
