(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack by two gunmen on the exhibition of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad in Texas in the United States on Sunday.

ISIS, through its broadcast, claimed the attack that left two of its militants dead as attempting to access to the center of Garland in the suburb of Texas on Sunday.

The statement said, “Two soldiers of the Caliphate had attacked the exhibition in Garland, Texas,” adding that the attackers were killed in an exchange of fire.

Judicial documents stated that one of the gunmen was the subject of an investigation by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), on suspicion of his intention to carry out a terrorist attack.

According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, the investigators began checking the backgrounds of the gunmen who were sharing a residence,, after he opened fire on a controversial exhibition on Sunday.
